TANDEKA BECKFORD

Fashion Merchandising Strategist | Personal Image Consultant | E-Commerce & DTC Specialist

About me

I’m Tandeka Beckford — a fashion strategist with a decade of experience across merchandising, buying, PR, and e-commerce. My work sits at the intersection of style and strategy, where intuition meets intention and creativity meets clarity.

I’ve spent my career shaping product stories, guiding teams through new launches, and crafting experiences that help customers feel seen, inspired, and understood.

Fashion, to me, has always been more than clothing. It’s a language — a quiet expression of identity, confidence, and who we’re becoming. I’m endlessly fascinated by the “why” behind what we choose to wear, the emotional pull of a beautifully constructed garment, and the way thoughtful design can shift how someone moves through the world.

But my connection to style goes deeper than trend cycles or aesthetics. I grew up believing that the right piece can make you feel braver, that the right silhouette can help you step into your next chapter, and that great design is its own form of communication. That belief continues to shape how I approach my work today — with curiosity, intention, and a desire to help people feel aligned with the best version of themselves.

At my core, I’m someone who sees fashion as both storytelling and strategy. I love the artistry, but I’m equally motivated by the structure behind it — the data, the psychology, the business decisions that quietly shape how we engage with style every day. My career has been a blend of all of these worlds, and I carry that blend into everything I create, lead, and imagine next.

“If one is so lucky, one solitary fantasy can transform one million realities.”

— Maya Angelou

WHAT I DO

I bring structure to creativity and meaning to strategy.

A woman with long black hair looking down, framed by the blurred arm and shoulder of another person in the foreground.

With experience that spans luxury, contemporary, and high-street categories, I’ve had the privilege of working in every corner of the fashion world — from analyzing trends and building assortments to shaping digital experiences and partnering across design, marketing, and operations.

My strengths live in:

  • Merchandising & Buying – building intentional product assortments with a clear point of view

  • E-Commerce Strategy – optimizing digital journeys and strengthening brand storytelling

  • Consumer Insight – understanding how people shop and translating that into meaningful action

  • Creative Problem Solving – stepping into ambiguity and bringing shape to complex ideas

  • Trend & Aesthetic Direction – identifying shifts before they happen and curating with purpose
